Show Details Shared Note: - Captain Thomas Yale. About two years after his first marriage he began withothers to agitate the settlement of Wallingford, Conn. to which place heremoved in 1670 under the guidance of the New Haven Committee as it wascalled. By the records of Wallingford he was one of the most prominent andenergetic men among them. He was justice of the Peace, Captain of the TrainBand, surveyor of land and moderator of their meetings and kept the recordsof their proceedings for nearly 20 years.

Sept. 19, 1710 he was one of the committee to sell Indian land in the town atwhich time he and the Rev. Samuel Street were the only survivors of thePlantation Covenant of Wallingford.

He also assisted in the forming of the Wallingford Church.
