He left Ireland about 1260 and went to Wales where he obtained by 1 CONC grant or marriage large estates in Merioneth, North Wales includingthe site of the mansion Cors y Gedol.

He was largely Welsh having Irish residence for only 3 generations. Hewas the ancestor of the Yales in the direct male line. He was assessedin the Parish of Llanaber, county of Merioneth toward the Tax of theFifteenth.
