Ralph was "great grandson of Josiah born in Roxbury, Mass in 1684 -descendent of Edward Bugbee born in England 1594. His people had silkmills in Connecticut. It was Edward Bugbee that Policina Arnold ‎(royalbirth - some how connected with India - came to this country to marryRalph and went to Waterford 1816. Married and practiced medicine there.He attended lectures at Yale. and studied medicine there."‎
